From humble beginnings as a Wellington-based lamp company, Philips New Zealand has broadened its portfolio considerably and is now a one of the country’s leading Healthcare, Lifestyle and Technology companies. The Philips brand is undoubtedly one of New Zealand’s favourite household names.

Philips NZ is dedicated to designing products with the end user in mind, boasting an extensive portfolio of products including everything from a portable heart start defibrillator and eco-friendly lighting systems to recordable hard drive DVDs and state-of-the-art flat screen televisions.

Philips’ products offer today’s consumer unique solutions that are easy to experience, designed around you and advanced – whether you’re working or playing.

Philips employs more than 120 people in key regions throughout New Zealand. It is widely held responsible for introducing the first colour television set owned by most Kiwis, the Philips K9, launched in 1973.

More recently, Philips introduced the Genie energy saving lightbulb to an electricity-conscious nation, the ultimate in television experience with Pixel Plus 2 and Ambilight technologies, and the first 4D scanner – enabling parents to see lifelike images of their unborn babies on screen like never before.

  1. do you have a lighting plan you can post with your phillips led products and wattage used.

Who did your lighting plan ?

    Would be great to know.

    • Hi Steve, we did mostly our own plan (with some input from Ideal abd Philips) but I can email you this and the spreadsheet. We’ve used more lights than needed, as we’re showcasing various models and looks.
